Subject: Ad Campaign inspires you to Live Healthy

Hello,

The other day I was driving down the road behind a bus with the advertising slogan "It's the Law."

As you'll probably recognize, this is the ad campaign for buckling up when driving. "Click it or ticket" is another variation you've probably seen.
What I find interesting about that ad campaign is the fact that there are other routes this campaign could've taken.  For example, "You could save a life, maybe even your own."

But the most effective ad campaign was the threat of getting a ticket and having to pay out some hard earned cash.

Same goes with exercising and treating our body right.  It seems the fact that-- eating right, exercising, hydrating your body and getting enough sleep will help you to stay active, live longer and be healthy-- is often not enough motivation.

So today I want to explore some of the other reasons you might consider doing these things.  Figure out which "Ad Campaign" works for you and keep it in front of you to help motivate you on those days you need it most.

  • Do it for your kids.   By role modeling healthy habits and making this your priority, you are teaching your children a way of life which will help them to stay active, live longer and healthier.
  • Enjoy a better sex life.
  • Prevent injuries.
  • Live to enjoy your retirement.   How often do you see people work their whole life only to retire and not be able to enjoy it because they are in such poor health they can't do anything?
  • Feel euphoric in a natural way.  How good do you feel when you become consistent with your exercise routine? Now think about how bad you feel when you don't exercise on a regular basis.  Go for the great feeling you get when you take care of your body.
  • Do it for charity.  Pick a charity you are passionate about...then pick an event to raise money which will challenge you physically... maybe a marathon, bike-a-thon, long distance walk-a-thon or a triathlon event.   Suddenly your keeping moving is about more than just you.
  • Avoid medication.  Often diet and exercise can control things like blood pressure and cholesterol.
  • Reduce your stress.
  • Increase your energy level.  I can't give you more hours in a day, but more energy might make you feel like you have those extra hours!
  • Look younger --without plastic surgery!
  • Do it because it is the right thing to do.
I know you've heard all of these before...so what I want you to do is look at the list again and figure out which one sticks with you the most.   Now keep your "ad campaign" visible.  It will help on the days when it's hard.  Or when you are recovering from an injury and it's easy to "use" your injury as an excuse to NOT work out.

And if you are doing great on your healthy-living and exercising, but still can't seem to lose those extra pounds, check out six steps to tone up your belly at http://www.mikeryanfitness.com/faq.php.
